The Long Center Presents A TRIBUTE TO BUTCH MILES - International Jazz Day Celebration 2023 Sunday, April 30, 2023 6:00PM

This year's International Jazz Day show is a celebration of Jazz featuring: Pamela Hart’s All Women Band, Austin Youth Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Diego Rivera, and a very special tribute to Butch Miles’ BIG BAND featuring Kris Kimura, Andre Hayward, Curtis Calderon with the Silver Creek Jazz providing a lively welcome to the celebration performing in the lobby upon guests arrival beginning at 5:30pm.

This event is a collaboration with Texas Jazz Society, Women In Jazz Association, the Austin Jazz Society, the Austin Traditional Jazz Society and the Long Center.

Great live music and excellent seafood mixes very well, especially if Austin's First Lady of Jazz, Pamela Hart, is on the stage. The evening begins at 6:30 pm, Pamela is joined by Glenn Rexach on guitar and Aaron Allen on bass. It's worth the drive to SH 71 not far from the US 290 West and SH 71 intersection. The Shore Raw Bar & Grill has excellent tasting food & beverages, good atmosphere, and great live music. Weather permitting, the music will be outdoors on the comfortable and beautiful covered patio.
