It’ll be worth the wait! You will not want to miss our “Toast to Tony” concert next spring, when Pamela Hart, Austin’s own First Lady of Jazz, brings her velvet voice to Spicewood. Accompanied by Greg Abate’s sultry saxophone, the two will be joined by the liquid gold notes of trombonist Andre Hayward. Driven by an all-star rhythm section, they’ll make musical magic.

Pamela has appeared in the Women in Jazz concert series for 24 years, the greatest Texas event for female jazz musicians, and founded the Women in Jazz Association in 1994 with her husband, Keith Hart. https://pamelahart.com/

Greg has played with the Ray Charles and Artie Shaw orchestras, recorded 17 albums, and is an adjunct professor of Jazz Studies at Rhode Island College and active clinician with the Conn-Selmer Instrument Co. https://www.gregabate.com/

Andre Hayward recently toured with Wynton Marsalis. He’s played with too many other great performers to name them all. Also an educator, he has taught at NYU, Michigan State, UT, and other prestigious schools. https://www.reverbnation.com/andrehayward

All Spicewood Arts Society annual jazz concerts are sponsored by the Paul Motheral family, they are indebted to the family for their faithful leadership through the past ten-plus years.
