We are proud to announce the 8th annual Austin LuluFest 2024, where the traditions meet the progressives, and all the leaders are women, entitled “The Art of the Duo.” Featuring: Vocalists: Danielle Reich, Pamela Hart Pianist: Juliana Silveira Tenor saxophonist: Kristen Strom (with James Suter, Bruce Saunders, Scott Sorkin, Peggy Stern) “Making music in duo form has been close to my heart for many years, and many reasons. During my years touring with the late great alto saxophonist Lee Konitz, we were often presented in Duo. With two people making music together, it becomes a conversation between peers. That requires sensitivity, humor, mutual respect, and empathy. Playing in duo requires listening and communication, certainly something we could use more of at this juncture.” - Artistic Director Peggy Stern First Presbyterian Church of Austin Saturday, May 11, 2024, 5:30-9:30PM CDT

$21 Students; $30 Adults
